My mom has a 2014 Acura RDX, the brake pedal feels like a switch, either off or on. I feel like it bites pretty hard, anyone else have this experience with an Acura?

My parents just bought a 2012. Still itching to drive it. I miss their ‘01 though.

I thought they had an MDX? I’ve put at least 500 miles on this and I’m not a fan, it’s at least better than the 2001 Olds Silhouette that my mom used to drive.

My wife’s old Nissan Altima was like that - hard to get used to. Her new Subie is a bit better. But the pedal feel and modulation on my Mazda 3 is fabulous compared to both - I will late brake you into a corner and win.

It’s really hard to get used to, I feel like any time my dad drives I get whiplash.

I haven’t experienced that in the 3 I’ve owned, or the 2017 MDX I test drove recently. Maybe just a RDX thing, or a flaw in her master cylinder?

Honestly, I’m not sure. I think it’s just how the car is, because my mom drives it like a normal car, my dad drives it and gives me whiplash. The pedal just feels really sensitive. The only other Acura I’ve had the opportunity to drive was my friends 2012 TSX Sport Wagon and that drove like a normal car.

My MIL has an ‘05 TSX... It’s damn good to drive- excellent grip, and fantastic steering feel. I would absolutely want one if it weren’t for the fact that the moon roof eats all the head room.

My moms 2010 CRV does that with the accelerator and the brakes. From what Ive Heard its a 3rd gen CRV thing (and I guess RDX cuz same platform). My mom wont let me drive it anymore because I complain about it too much

I’ve driven a few Hondas that do that.
